Who we are
weddingvendors.com.au is an Australian wedding vendor matching service. We collect enquiries from couples planning a wedding and share relevant details with a small shortlist of wedding businesses who can quote on the work.
This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have. It is written to align with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
From couples: names, email address, phone number, wedding date, region, guest count, budget range, the vendor categories you need, and any notes you add to your brief.
From vendors: business name, contact name, email, phone, website, Instagram, service categories, service regions, and account activity such as credit purchases and lead outcomes.
From vendors registering for early access before launch: business name, contact name, email, phone, service categories and service regions, plus the date you registered.
Automatically: pages viewed, referral source, and campaign parameters (for example utm_source or gclid) so we understand which advertising brought you to us.
Vendor early access
While the platform is in pre-launch, wedding businesses can register for early access. We use those details only to confirm your registration, keep you updated on launch progress, apply your $100 of free lead credits when accounts open, and check that your categories and regions are ones we can serve.
Early-access registrations are not shared with other vendors, are never shown to couples, and are not sold or passed to third parties. They are stored in the same access-controlled database as the rest of our data and are only readable by our team.
You can withdraw at any time by emailing hello@weddingvendors.com.au and we will delete your registration. Withdrawing before launch means the free credit offer no longer applies.
How we use it
To verify enquiries, match couples to a capped shortlist of no more than four vendors per service, enable direct messaging between a couple and the vendors they are matched with, run and improve the service, and meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information to advertisers or list brokers. Vendor businesses pay credits to access a verified enquiry that matches their category and region.
Who we share it with
Matched vendors receive your contact details and brief once they claim a place on your shortlist. You can see who has been matched and choose one at any time.
We also use trusted service providers for hosting, database storage, email delivery and analytics. They process data on our instructions only.
Storage and security
Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with row-level access controls, so vendors can only see enquiries they have been matched to and couples can only see their own plan and messages.
No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify affected people and the OAIC as required.
Access, correction and deletion
You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@weddingvendors.com.au and we will respond within 30 days.
Deleting your enquiry does not withdraw details already shared with a matched vendor — contact that vendor directly as well.
Cookies and marketing
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and analytics cookies to measure which pages and ad campaigns work. You can block cookies in your browser, though portal features may stop working.
Marketing emails always include an unsubscribe link. Service messages about an active enquiry or account are not marketing.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handled your information, email hello@weddingvendors.com.au. If we cannot resolve it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
